Dear Parent,
Greetings from Brahmavid The Global School!
Thank you very much for your thoughtful email and for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us.
We are delighted to know that you and your children enjoyed the Father's Day and International Yoga Day celebrations and found the New Parents' Orientation Programme informative and engaging. Your appreciation for the efforts of the school team is truly encouraging and motivates us to continue creating meaningful experiences for our students and families.
We also sincerely appreciate your suggestion regarding refreshments during parent events and would like to share some context from our side.
During the International Yoga Day celebration, sprouts and salad were intentionally served as a healthy refreshment option in keeping with the spirit and theme of the event, which focused on wellness, healthy living, and mindful choices.
For parent events and orientation sessions, one of the challenges we often encounter is estimating attendance accurately. For example, during your batch of the Parent Orientation Programme, approximately 200 parents were expected to attend; however, the actual turnout was 79 parents. Based on our experiences from previous events, we have observed that refreshments prepared for expected attendance frequently remain unconsumed, leading to considerable food wastage, which we strive to avoid as a responsible institution.
Additionally, on regular school working days, our Annapurna team prepares and serves more than 3,500 meals across multiple meal slots, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks for students residing and studying on campus. Managing food arrangements for specific parent groups during these operational hours becomes challenging. Furthermore, we prefer to avoid parent movement in the student dining areas during meal time to ensure smooth functioning and maintain student routines.
Keeping parents' comfort in mind, drinking water and Jaljeera were arranged outside the venue during the Parent Orientation Programme; however, only a few parents availed themselves of the same.
Concerning your suggestion about keeping drinking water available inside the auditorium, we would like to share that, to maintain hygiene standards and preserve the infrastructure of Sanskriti Auditorium, food items and beverages, including drinking water, are generally not permitted inside the venue. This practice also helps ensure cleanliness, prevent pest-related issues, and maintain the auditorium in the best condition for all users. Therefore, refreshments and drinking water are arranged immediately outside the auditorium for easy access during the programme.
Having said that, we genuinely value your suggestion and would like to share that refreshments are served during the PTMs, family events and parent engagement programmes. On a few occasions, we are bound to follow what suits our operational meal timings and is in the best interest of our students.
Thank you once again for your kind words, constructive feedback, and continued support as partners in your child's educational journey.
Regards
